How AcademicDude Works

You choose the kind of support you need, share your brief and goals, and receive a quote setting out scope and timeline before anything starts. We then provide guidance, feedback or editing, and you use it to develop and finish your own work.

The four steps

  1. 1

    Choose the academic support you need.

    Pick a service, or tell us the problem and we will suggest one.

  2. 2

    Share your requirements or writing goals.

    Your brief, marking criteria, draft or supervisor comments.

  3. 3

    Receive appropriate guidance or editing support.

    Explanations, feedback, plans or language editing, as agreed.

  4. 4

    Review the feedback and develop your own work.

    You decide what to change. The work stays yours.

Working with AcademicDude follows four steps. They are the same whether you need help planning a first-year essay or making sense of comments on a doctoral chapter, and at every step you stay in control of your own work.

1. Choose the academic support you need

Start by deciding roughly what kind of help would be most useful. You do not need to get this exactly right, because we will ask questions later, but a starting point helps.

If you are unsure, the services overview describes each option, and you can simply say "I'm not sure which of these I need".

2. Share your requirements or writing goals

The more context we have, the more useful our reply. Before you contact us, it helps to gather:

  • the assignment brief or task instructions, exactly as your institution gave them;
  • the marking criteria or rubric, if you have one;
  • your draft or notes, at whatever stage they are;
  • any supervisor or tutor comments you want help understanding;
  • the referencing style your department requires;
  • your university's rules on AI use and proofreading, if you know them;
  • your deadline, so we can tell you honestly what is realistic.

Then tell us what you want to achieve. "My tutor says my argument is descriptive and I don't know what that means" is a far better starting point than "please check my essay".

You can send this through the contact form, by email to [email protected] or on WhatsApp at +91 63771 21813.

What happens after you contact us

We read your message and reply, usually with a few questions to clarify what you need. Once the request is clear, we send a quote that sets out the scope of the support, what you will receive and the timeline. Nothing starts until you have seen and agreed to that quote, and there is no fixed price list, because the right scope depends on your request.

If part of your request falls outside what we can ethically do, we say so at this stage and suggest a form of support that would still help.

3. Receive appropriate guidance or editing support

The support you receive matches what was agreed in the quote. Depending on the request, it might include:

  • written comments on your draft, tied to specific paragraphs or sections;
  • an explanation of what your marking criteria are asking for, in plain language;
  • a suggested structure or chapter plan for you to develop;
  • questions that push your argument or research design further;
  • language and clarity edits, with tracked changes so you can see every suggestion;
  • notes on referencing errors and how to correct them.

4. Review the feedback and develop your own work

This step matters most. Feedback only improves your work when you engage with it, so read through everything, accept or reject edits deliberately, and rewrite in your own words where guidance suggests a change.

A few habits help:

  • Make a short list of the recurring issues so you can avoid them in future assignments.
  • Ask about anything you do not understand. Feedback you cannot act on is not useful.
  • Check any changes against your institution's rules before submitting.
  • Keep your notes and drafts, which show how your work developed.

Our free tools and Writing Centre guides help you keep improving between assignments.

The integrity boundary

Throughout all four steps, you are the author of your work. We explain, plan, question, give feedback and edit language, clarity and formatting. We do not write or complete assessed work, take tests or exams, or help anyone get around plagiarism or AI-detection tools.

It is your responsibility to follow your institution's academic integrity, proofreading and AI-use policies, and to disclose support where your university requires it. Our academic integrity policy explains these boundaries in detail.
